New Life Animal Rescue…

“Welcome to love!”

Voted BEST CHARITY OF BURLINGTON COUNTY!!

New Life Animal Rescue is a southern NJ foster-based animal rescue operating under the principle of Proverbs 12:10, which reads: "The righteous care for the needs of their animals..."

We are New Life Animal Rescue, voted the Best Charity of Burlington County, a nonprofit 501(c)3 rescue organization, EIN 45-4628945, made up of a network of foster homes based in southern New Jersey.

We are primarily a critical care / special needs and hospice rescue organization, saving those animals who others are not equipped to care for: paralyzed, blind, broken, abused, neonates, cleft palates, and other critical medical cases. We are equipped with incubators and oxygen and have extensive experience with critical care such as tube feedings, sub cutaneous fluids administration and wound care, and we provide the special needs animals with the equipment they need to thrive such as wheelchairs or prosthetics, under the supervision of the best veterinary specialists in the country.

Since our establishment in 2012 we have saved, rehabbed, cared for and trained over 1,000 very special animals and carefully selected their forever families! Those who require hospice care for the rest of their days remain here with us in our loving foster home receiving home-cooked meals and special supplements specific to their medical needs.

We also serve as a resource to our local and internet community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
We are a small rescue doing great things and we receive no government funding or grants.

All of our rescued animals are fostered in a home with a loving family, unless they require continuous veterinary care before being placed in a foster home. They are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, micro-chipped, behavior-evaluated, up to date on all vaccinations and flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, receive a thorough veterinary exam and treatment for any known illness or injury. Our adopters also receive 30 days of free pet insurance and continued support / advice / training tips whenever needed.

A note from Kim, Founder and Director of New Life Animal Rescue:
I am a Christian, so to me the number one priority in my life is to follow the Lord and His plan for me. I have always had a very special bond with animals, and even as a child lost and injured animals always seemed to find their way to me.
As my children grew out of toddlerhood and I found myself a single mom, I began volunteering and fostering for a few local animal rescues, all the while praying and asking the Lord to show me His plans for me.
One of the toughest prayers for me to pray was when I began to ask the Lord to break my heart for what breaks His. He began to show me more of the suffering I was just beginning to see, and along with that heartache, he also showed me much bigger ways that I could help.
And so, New Life Animal Rescue was created. I chose the name "New Life" because it is a new life these rescued animals receive, just like I believe we do when we accept the Lord into our hearts. We become a new creation, with a New Life.
Each time I rescue a new animal, and he becomes a "New Lifer" I pray over him, and pray for his perfect adopter. These animals never cease to amaze me. They always seem so relieved. So happy. So thankful.
Each one of them has a story that I wish they could tell me. Clearly some of them have lived a nightmare before being rescued, and the world is a very scary place. They may feel defensive. Any one of them could bite me if they wanted. They're afraid, in pain, hungry... But they choose not to.
If only people could learn to be so forgiving and so kind.
